It has been a very busy week around here. Monday, Rory had a check up. Tuesday, Rory dropped a glass and it shattered, she then walked through it, and got several small cuts on her foot. Fortunately the cuts were small and shallow. She was fine in no time. That'll teach me to stay in bed after Matt leaves for work. Worst Mommy Moment Award goes to --drum roll-- ME!
Wednesday, Matt's brother Phil and his lovely girlfriend Karlee came to Calgary to visit. They brought with them a Christmas present for Rory. A "FurReal" cat that meows and paws at you and makes slurping noises when you give him his bottle. Rory was so excited until it started moving. Then she got scared. I think she thinks he's real. She warmed up to him in time and loves him now. His name is Mo (she named him) and she drags him around by his ear. I hope she never tries that with a real cat, as it could have very negative repercussions.
Lately, I've been wondering what Rory's toys would think of her if they really did come to life when we left the room (We are in a bit of a Toy Story faze). I hope they like her! She's young but she loves them so much. Particularly Elmo, her Princess Aurora doll and her stuffed monkeys. She takes very good care of them, for a 18 month old. She tucks them in, gives them kisses, dances with them, sings to them. She's a good mom to her toys.
Matt took Thursday off work and we hung out with Phil and Karlee at the mall. Karlee is recovering from surgery and is in a cast. She has a wheelchair for when she is out and about. Rory thought it was awesome that they were both being pushed around. She kept reaching over and trying to touch the wheelchair wheels.
Friday, Rory and I went visiting teaching. I seem to always pick the absolute worst days weather-wise to go out. That being said, we had a great morning visiting some amazing ladies. Rory had so much fun playing with their kids. That afternoon we packed up and when Matt got off work, we headed down to Cardston.
Today we had the opportunity to go to the temple. I love it in there. It is such a peaceful, calming place. Knowing that Rory was happily playing with Grandma helps as well. While we were in the temple, Rory had a fun-filled morning.
Grandma took her sledding.

New book that makes animal sounds.
Making Lunch.
Tonight we have an extended Beazer family Christmas party and then we are driving home to Calgary so we can be there for Church tomorrow.
One week to Christmas!
